He is on the roster. Considering what hell the guy has been through, damn near losing his leg, the hell of PT to get back to even walk, let alone run, and still be on a pro football team's roster....

Jones and his college teammate Jared Mitchell are the only two college athletes ever to claim a BCS national title and a baseball national title.
He is injured and part of the team. It's not like he played for them and got traded before the super bowl.

Rehabbing a non football related injury doesn't equate "deserving" a super bowl ring. Being drafted by and maintaining a roster spot with the Giants, however, does. In my opinion.

They did drop him from their roster all together for a time.
I'm not saying that because of what he went through, let's give him a ring. I was saying he busted his arse to get back to where he could play, not professionally (yet) but the Giants picked him back up.
I didn't mean it to sound like, let's just give it to him. He's on the roster, he gets a ring.

I didn't say they wouldn't get one. Its just not really "earned"... of course the owner will give one but if I were the individual player I wouldn't be upset with not getting one. The guy who spray paints the endzones is probably more deserving. I know... its a cardinal sin to say anything about the guy who pitched the best 6.2 innings in college baseball history.
