Nothing more than one on one street ball replete with a lack of fundamentals from top to bottom...Pathetic to watch!!! Guess I'm too "old school"...

Well, if you are watching LSU vs. Arkansas, then of course.

Watch some ACC or Big East games, there are plenty of GREAT coaches and team basketball in those conferences.

The SEC is rated as the third best conference right now. So step away from your pedestal.

Can't agree more. It's been this from day 1.

I thought today's game was well played and well coached (except for the substitutions) by both teams.

Op your old school must have been peach baskets and no dribbling. While they do leave a lot to be desired on discipline and I would like more screen & rolls and quicker ball rotation but it's far from street ball.

You can't be serious. Their motion offense created easy shots. Notice how many points in the paint- that were not off the drive by a guard. They are very close to being really good.

Very top heavy as always. Kentucky, Vandy, and Florida carrying the load for the most part as usual.

ACC or Big East have much deeper talent levels across their entire conference. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for SEC basketball, but it really isn't even a comparison.

bullshite dude. Top heavy in the past didn't put us this high nationally as a conference. We were still struggling to stay at 6.

If everyone wants to cry about the other basketball conferences in any attempt to downgrade today's win, that's fine. But I'll just tell you what I think about it.

How is pointing out the obvious whining? The offense is absolutely putrid.....

Considering I disagree I would call it far from obvious. But let's keep using hyperbole on here because it's so insightful.

I think you are reading too much into my post. The OP was making a blanket statement about college basketball as a whole lacking fundamental skills and good coaching. That is simply false if you look at programs across the board in the Big East and in the ACC. LSU and Arkansas don't really have fundamentally sound teams imo. But I am very happy we won and if LSU wins the national championship playing street ball I'd still be pumped.

SEC is going to take a big jump next year with the addition of Mizzou and A&M (not great this year, but were very strong under Turgeon and have potential). I'm very much looking forward to the future of SEC hoops.

I think much of it is created by the size and athleticism of today's athlete. They can really take up space.

You can put cerebral high IQ guys who can shoot and pass out there but you may be sacraficing athleticism and trying to board and guard puts you in a tough situation on the other end.

So you pick your poison.

I'd be ECSTATIC if they could get the block/charge call right more than 20% of the time and stop the fricking moving screens.

That goes for college and NBA. I watch a ton of basketball, and those two things really suck the enjoyment out of it for me.

I don't think the OP is talking about the LSU victory today, but about college basketball in general.

He's not whining and bitching about LSU winning, but you ARE whining and bitching over your incorrect perception of his whining and bitching over LSU winning.
