If the following happens agaisnt Bama next season, which outcome would you

enjoy the most.
1. A blow out win, where LSU runs up the score on Bama and make the rout look really bad. Like a 35 point win.
2. LSU's up 24 points in the 4th, then Miles resorts to his very conservative play calling to run out the clock. On the final two drives Miles kneels the ball on every down.
3. Or would just a win be enjoyable enough.
I guess what I'm asking is if given the opportunity, would you want to embarass Bama (purely from a fan perspective)

I would love to embarrass them but it won't happen. The game is always close and I don't see that being any different next season.

I want to beat them to the point that their own mothers won't recognize them...It needs to be a nasty beat down.

would love to put 50 on them and beat them bad. Those types of wins over rivals stick for a long time.

I have a serious question for you and other fans who live in a fantasy world.
What would beating Bama in 2012 prove? Why would it matter?
You all realize beating them in the regular season is meaningless, don't you? Why worry about it or hope for blowout scenarios?
None of it will matter in the end. You have to beat Bama twice. They only have to beat you once, either in November or in January.
You need to change the premise of your thread. CFB has changed again.

Not sure if serious.

I don't consider 1 and 2 ... 3 would be great ... and, just hoping we cross midfield a half dozen times minimum.
Just being honest.

JMHO, but it's not about what LSU scores.
It's gonna be about what Bama scores. The pressure isn't on the O to score, it's on the D to stop it.

As long as Saban is at bama you can forget a blowout win. Any win vs them is good enough for me, but the bigger the margin the better obviously.

Irrelevant.

I would like to see a decisive win, even a blowout if that is possible, but not just because it would make me feel good. Unless Bama just self destructs, a blowout (14+ point) win would show that LSU is no longer merely trying to keep games close and win them in the 4th. One complaint I have long had about Miles is that he is a little too content to play close games. I want to see a team that has as its goal to jump all over you and separate the score. This is not some sort of fan's machismo but rather my belief that this is the best way to have a team avoid letdowns and upsets. Last year, we separated the score routinely but it was mostly due to D and special teams. As we saw twice against Bama, you're seldom going to be able to get separation in the score against teams of equal talent if you are limited or overly conservative on offensive. And yeah, it would just make me feel good to run Bama out of Tiger Stadium next year.

more than 35 pts and we kneel.

I would only like to see them beat Bama enough so that they would not have a chance to get back in the championship game again. So guess it would have to be by at least 17 points or so.

This. Plus, on the last drive, take it to the one and have Wing come out to attempt to punt it out of the stadium.

Yep. Now that the precedent has been set, everyone will face the prospect of Bama being given a mulligan due to the "eyeball" test.

Bama embarrsed us by scoring that final TD, so yeah, run it up. That would make sure no rematch.

Any margin larger than 17 points is great. 3 scores make the gumps "look" bad. So a bad loss is hung on them. Voters now consider losses more important than wins, this year proved it, and they admited it as so. The margin should be large enough so no one can say the better team did not win.
