If only that were the case. Unfortunately, as a USL alumnus myself, I can tell you that it was my experience that far too many USL fans measure their success up against what's going on in Baton Rouge. If ONLY they would focus on what's going on in their own circle and quit worrying about LSU they'd be far better off.

His post is a reaction to actual events. I've had similar conversations with USL fans myself. Think of it this way. USL athletics, for the most part, is a gnat. It's essentially irrelevant. there is no reason LSU fans would pay any attention at all to it if it were not for the constant chirping of USL fans. Best way to not be called out by LSU fans would be to shut up and focus on the Sun Belt. But don't blame LSU fans for responding to the constant buzzing in their ears.

I'm also a graduate and fan of both. I just wish we (LSU) would've had Blaine Gauthier as our QB v. the gumps. That lefty can throw it, and he's got a very quick release. Watch this kid Ladarius Green in the Senior Bowl, since you will be seeing him every Sunday next fall. He's not a true TE like DeAngelo, but the young man has a pair of hands like fly paper and is fast with the ball.
