Good bars in Tuscaloosa

Where are the good watering holes in Tuscaloosa I'll be going there next week to work for a while and could use any tips TIA

Downtown - Innisfree, 4th and 23rds, and Wilhagens are pretty solid
The Strip - Houndstooth, Bear Trap, Gallettes. Phil's is the most laid back though.
Tuscaloosa city limits - Bob Baumhower, The owner of Bob Baumhower's Wings Sports Grill has a really cool new restaurant concept called Wings U in the Midtown Shopping Center. It's basically a nicer version of Wings Sports Grill with a better food and a better beer/drink selection. They have really good, cheap drink specials and happy hours as well.

I like the downtown bars better than the strip. Copper Top is my favorite of the ones at 4th and 23rd. Catch 22 on 6th is good too.

Gallettes is a good time...and I agree with bill that Athens is #1.

If you are an adult and enjoy drinking good beer and a non smoking bar, I suggest alcove international tavern. It is by far the best bar in town
