Didn't read all 61 pages but the list should definitely include the movie, wicked city

Sounds awesome. Gonna add it to my backlog.

A couple films I've recently seen were 5 centimeters per second and Garden of Words. Both were directed Makoto Shinkai. If you love hand drawn animation and beautiful visuals these are amazing. Personally, I really liked both films' story, but some people may not enjoy it, especially Garden of Words. That film purposefully feels as if nothing happens for the majority of the film. Both films can also leave you a little dissatisfied with the ending. However, I'd still recommend them if you're looking for intelligent and visually beautiful films.

I cried. That ending was so bittersweet.

It's movies like 5 Centimeters per Second, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Sword of the Stranger, irks me that us Americans have flat out given up on anything hand drawn. If it ain't CGI, it won't sell. Hell, Frozen and Tangled were basically hand drawn stylized, but with CGI character models.

Shouldn't have to wait for stuff from overseas for quality animation. Friggin' travesty.

You should watch Garden of Words. The credits and post-credits scene allow the film to end on a cheerful, uplifting note.

They just added Death Note on Netflix this week.

I'm about 12 episodes in already. I love the back and forth between L and Light.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will be mine because I'm a huge fan of JoJo. NGNL takes 2nd though.

Yup. There's 6 volumes of source material so far and this season will finish the first 3. So there's enough material to do a second season. I just hope it sells well enough so we can get another season.

Damn that's good to hear. I watched it the last time it was on Netflix and was upset when they took it off cause I wanted to re-watch it. I just downloaded it too but I'll just watch it on Netflix since it's easier.

There is no way they don't give it another season. It is too damn good.

They better not do that to me.

I'm pretty sure we'll get a second season next year. Unfortunately, the light novels aren't close to being done. So the 3rd season, ova, or movie might not come out for years if Madhouse decides to finish it.

I just finished powering through Death Note. Minor spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen it yet... I thought the show was awesome, but does anyone else think that the first and second halves of the show should have been reversed? I felt like the cat and mouse game between Light and L is what made the show. It was amazing how completely different yet completely alike both characters were.

I was upset that it wasn't L who caught Light. Near and Moley, or whatever the hell his name was, didn't measure up to L at all, imo.

I think that the series would have felt right if it would have been Light defeating Near and Murry (seriously, the dude was only in like 4 episodes, but he was that pivotal to the series?), then working L in to bring down Light in the end.
