Same reasoning for me. I watch Gundam and some old classics dubbed (Cromartie, Outlaw Star, Trigun, etc.).

It really depends. There are terrible dubs (highschool of the dead is a good example) and there are ones that work perfectly.

Pretty much a perfect example at a bad voice acting, horrible decisions in rewriting, and bad direction from the localization company.

I watched the early OVA/movie. Not prepared to begin that journey.

Naruto's English Dub is fricking abysmal. But Cowboy Bebop's English Dub is far superior to its Japanese Original. As examples.

I had my first elitist moment when I watched the first episode live on Nickelodeon. I had downloaded fansubs off the net (without knowing what they were) and was shocked at how bad it was.

This is everything that both JLock and I have seen. My score is on the right, his is on the left.

If anyone has a MAL, let me know. I like comparison stuff like this.

I literally want to punch Naruto's VA in the face it's so bad.

I think Bebop is meant to be watched in English, but that's just me. One of my all-time faves for sure

Let me know if you do. It's good to go through someone's list to help remember what you've seen. I can link you to mine and another friends (who has seen far more than I ever will) if you'd like.

I can also see that JLock is blowing through shows.

I do not judge at all. I practically watched zero anime until I started my freshman year of college. 350+ shows watched later...

It's great. I'm also loving Flowers of Evil, Hataraku Maou-sama, and the new OreImo from this season.

I hate making lists, but there it is. Plus, I'm pretty sure that I forgot a few movies and shows.

School Rumble - Comedy/high school romance. Very funny

Gundam 08th Ms Team - I know gundams been mentioned, but this one is a 10. It's only 12 episodes so it doesn't take forever to watch but you get a lot out of it.

Street Fighter II V - action. Obviously. Not a deep plot, but if you are a fan of street fighter and action/fighter anime you'll like it.

5 Centimeters per Second - a movie about a young boy and girls relationship and how it changes over time. Don't want to give too much of the story away so ill leave it at that. A drama/heart string tugger. Not for everyone, but those open to it, I recommend.

If any of these have been mentioned, don't kill me. I just jumped in this thread and haven't read every page.

Creating it is a pain, but it's nice and easy to keep up with it once you have it in place.
