We should offer just to get his dad as a QB coach and then he can bring in Jerry as the WR corch.

no.... just because it's Joe's kid doesn't mean he's anything like Joe....

if he couldn't cut at Washington in the Pac 12, what the hell makes you think he can cut it here in the SEC??

He was playing behind a guy that was putting up huge number this year. Plus he was playing better then RG3 in the bowl game.

No, he had a lot of "offers" from around the country.

I live a couple miles from the UW campus, Nick Montana is the third best QB on that roster. He has a below average arm, he can throw the deep ball with timing and he is fairly accurate on medium and short routes... but the ball just takes forever to get there.

Montana has really really good instincts in the pocket, I mean he could dodge rushers blindfolded, but surprisingly he is not that great at reading coverage and making decisions.

Or maybe he makes the right decision it is just that the ball takes so long to get to the receiver that the entire defense has time to converge on the spot (I am exaggerating but not by much)

The kid has perfect technique and is getting about as much as can be expected out of his arm, there is just not much arm.

When you think Nick Montana you should think of a shorter, thinner, Andrew Hatch.

Wherever he transfers, he will have two years to play two beginning in 2013. Stephen Rivers and Jerrard Randall will each have three years to play three starting in 2013. I don't think we need him, and we won't know if we do until well after he has transferred elsewhere.

I've read that Montana is likely.

That's just rumor though. I know his brother ended up there as well.

I think he's gonna be at a JUCO for a year to get some PT and look for a spot the following year.

He is not a D-I QB. Joe is close with Sarkisian, which is why Nick went to Washington, and it didn't work out. I saw him at an Elite 11 camp and he was accurate, with good fundamentals, but a weak arm and fraile physique. He is a typical kid, who looked good because he was on a prolific high school team...there is little mental or physical toughness present! He will never live up to even mediocre expectations, which is sad really.
