BCS performance
Early exit of WRs
Recruiting interest
Respect of coaching peers, administration, and big money donors

It seems like not having a backup to RP and benching Lee for JJ could prove to be major setbacks to Miles.

He went with what he thought was the safe route. Even when he needed to be bold. He was scared and it cost him in the biggest game of his life. Did he appreciate the full ramification of his stubbornness? Hell no he didn't.

He had a backup to RP. He just wasn't ready to play because he got absolutely no coaching at his position.

JJ should never have played his first 2 years. He should've been redshirted and given time to develop under a good QB coach. JJ and Lee both suffered because Les chose Crowton. While it got LSU an NC that year, the toll it took on the team's youth really hurt. If Les hires a QB coach instead of a TE coach, we may have actually been fine with Crowton as OC.

there's a reason Lee didn't play.....and it had nothing to do with Miles hating Lee, loving JJ, or not playing the best players

i would love to let it go. But, it appears that that may very well be his defining coaching decision at lsu. People just don't understand it, it makes zero sense.

I will be beter by september.

Toe the company line.

Miles handled the JJ/Lee situation horribly and it will be what sends him packing. It won't be this year, but this cloud will never go away from him while in Baton Rouge.

well, if there is a legit reason, then he should just come out and say it. Not saying anything is not working out so well.

i totally agree it doesnt make sense and that people are pissed. i was one of those people. but there just comes a time when, as a fan, you gotta move on. not knocking you personally, man! just saying, as a fanbase, everybody needs to just forget it. we lost. miles fricked up. we'll be fine and baseball season is a month away

he'd probably rather have all the heat on him then to throw a player under the bus

how many coaching gaffs does he get? Malveto, crowton, ole miss, tennessee, NC game, JJ/JL?

actually...he didn't really have a choice. and it won't be the reason he leaves...unless he decides that on his own

i was almost positive that this was going to be the answer. But apparently lee and other players don't know that. they were sure convinced he was going to play, including lee.

1. everyone makes bad coaching hires

2. if he's averaging 11 wins a year and keeps us in the conference and national championship hunt...does it really matter if he has a "gaff" every now and then?
