What is the fishing like there? Perch, crappie, bass, cats?

The only luck I ever have is at night. Normally only a couple of fish also. I don't know what is up with those lakes

Alx would be the local expert. I've caught bass and bream on Kincaid, along with jackfish regularly, and know people set yo-yos for sacaulait. Both lakes are manmade with the water coming out of spring fed creeks, so the water is clear w/o many nutrients. seems like I do better in natural lakes.

I used to fish both regularly due to night tournaments. That has stopped, and I rarely go to either now.
Reports from Kincaid on bass over the last 3 years have been worst ever. Even regulars getting blanked. Bream fishing remains very good though.
Cotile is probably the better bass lake right now. It is difficult for new fisherman, and just beating the bank does not often work. Humps off points and channels in the creek arms tend to be the best spots. It is also more difficult to navigate due to standing timber and stump fields.
I have never tried to crappie fish either because there are better places near. I hear good reports from night fishing. Those people generally have tops sunk and use lights. I also have no idea how to fish for catfish on an impoundment.

Thanks for the thoughts. I may be taking a job in Alexandria and want to get back into fishing. I haven't done it seriously for 15 years or so.
Are people catcjing fish in Toledo with the low levels? I would imagine if you can get a boat in it would be hot.

Thanks for the offer. I just countered the salary offer from the company so I'll have to see what happens with that. I would be eternally grateful for some local guidance.
