I've heard a lot about this kid being the real deal and a steal.

6'6" and very athletic. The guys was running all over the field in HS due to a porous OL. Sure, his throwing motion looks whack, but so does his older brother's.

I hope we get to see these 4: Mett, Rivers, Keil and Randall fight it out in the spring.

If Keil is legit, he will more than likely never see the field.

How many true freshman roll in and excel at QB in D1A?

Not many.

Not saying Keil will be legit as a true freshman. But I'm going to assume that either Mett or Randall will start the next 2 years, then it will be Keil's show.

Well, you're forgetting Mettenberger the next two years. Then, most likely Kiel. Who knows though. It is a good problem to have.

Who said he would be a freshman? Mett still has 2 years...

This.

I bet it ends up being:

Mett
Randall
Kiel
Rivers

by the end of the year. And I bet Rivers looks to transfer. People don't understand the incredible talent that is Jerrard Randall.

I wish we had this problem the last 4 years. We may have another title or 2.

Not that I think he'll play but Matt Barkley, Tim Tebow, and Terrelle Pryor come to mind

Looks like more than 2 games to me - he was pretty solid in helping them especially in the red zone

He helped them in the RZ, but if he had to start all season as a true freshman, UF would not have won the title in 2006.

Saw him pregame when they were showing the QBs warming up.

He is freaking huge: 6'6" and at least 240.

If he improved his arm strength to go along with the extra size, he'll be a college version of Ben Rothelisberger in the pocket with defensive players bouncing off him.

Was at practice on Saturday before the bowl game and saw all the QBs throwing. Lee definitely had the prettiest ball, but Mett was at least as accurate. Rivers had a banged finger and didnt throw too well. Randall was terrible. JJ was horribly inconsistent. I wouldnt be shocked if Randall transferred. I dont think there is much room with Mett, Rivers, and Keil.

Thanks for your input.

What we need is accuracy and WR route expectation.
