The LSU fan base has overtaken Florida as the most idiotic and embarrassing fan base I have ever seen.
I have never seen so many idiotic things said about a great coach who has done nothing but spoil LSU fans with winning seasons and crucify a man and a team who had an unbelievable year.
I know none of you on here have ever made bad decisions or had a bad day, so I don't expect y'all to understand.
Go ahead and crucify me.
I'll be a Tiger for life. Win or lose

and in the exact manner that most fans had dreaded since "the reinstatement". Les Miles blindly stuck by his ineffective qb like he did all last year.

The things said aren't idiotic. Most of us understand we had an unbelievable and the best season ever. But we also understand that the way it ended is unacceptable. It's not the fact that we lost, it's the way it happened. This is what people don't seem to understand and in response attack us for our negative remarks.

The LSU fan base

Thank God I don't believe that the people who write on the Rant represents "the fan base". None of the LSU fans I hang out with come close to being as negative as this bunch does.

It's how we lost. I can take a loss if we play like we played all season but we were nowhere near that, at least offensively. I could deal with a loss if we put forth everything and got beat. I wouldn't like it but I could deal with it.

None of that happened Monday night. We did not look like a team that was 13-0 and had the roughest schedule, arguably ever in school history.

I'm a Tiger fan for life too but it's how we lost that is the maddening part. We are way better than that and that's what's embarrassing/insulting.

Also to see the player everyone was already on edge with fail miserably makes it even worse.

Was the way saban lost to Uab when here was acceptable. How about when he lost to ulm while at bama?
Is there ever an acceptable loss in fans minds?
Just asking, since saban seems to be such a god over les.
I mean I'm sure nick didn't care about the game on the 5th or the one last year when they were ranked 3rd and in the mix for a title.

LSU must have the most idiotic players too since they wanted Lee as well.

It's not that the team lost, but it's the manner in which they lost. Many of us knew that JJ's play would cost the team a game at some point during the season. Unluckily for us, it happened at the worst possible time. It also gave the program one of its most embarrassing losses in years and made the program the butt of national jokes. I'm a Cubs fan and I've seen some of their playoff flame outs not look nearly as awful as that was.

How dare we lose a game that we really wanted to win. Only complete losers lose championship games.

This post is a great example of of the vocal fanbase simply being unable to handle disappointment. It's either love or hate. There is no middle ground. There is no room for reasonable criticism without going overboard.

I agree that our fanbase is pathetically bandwagon in nature.

I agree. I said in another post-

I, me personally, am too short to play football (5'7), I always wanted to but I'm to little, I've never played a down of it in my life and I can play as "good" as a certain QB did on Monday night.

I see this claim made quite often, and just don't think there's a way to accurately gauge whose fan base is more "idiotic & embarrassing".

I love how it's as bad as we played. That is a part of it, don't get me wrong. Like a bama friend of mine said tonight, he was disappointed they didn't get lsu's best. But it wasn't just JJ. The offensive line got blown up!! Alabama d came out with a purpose. As much as I would to have loved to seen J lee it wouldn't have mattered. I know, we'll never know now. But no one could have thrown the ball with the way the line was gettig run over. Jut sayin

The staff wasn't ready and made very little, if any, adjustments. That's the other half of what is driving people crazy. Nothing, NOTHING, changed in play calling the entire game.

Stay with what isn't working, for 60 min. Freaking ridiculous. Nothing to even try to get a spark going.
