I was just talking to my brother about this. Think about it, we are spoiled having won the Super Bowl 2 years ago. We expect to be there again and nothing less. I guess this is what happens when you win the Super Bowl.

But the crazy thing is this, we have only been to 2 NFC Championship games in our entire history!!

Let's not forget how special this is to be one game away from the NFC Championship. I can remember in 2006 when just making it to the NFC CG was amazing and felt so great.

I mean seriously, it gets lost in the fact that we are all so confident that we will make it back to the Super Bowl when we should all know by now how hard that is to do. So hears to enjoying this amazing season while it lasts and I really hope we can dominate this weekend to appear in our 3rd ever NFC Championship game!

Damn.

With success comes higher expectations. We all know how good this team is, and they definitely are superbowl good, so we expect them to live up to it. No shock there.

I completely agree, and I'm not shocked because I have the same high expectations.

I'm just stepping back and realizing how special this is that we have such a legitimate shot every year with this current group of coaches and receivers. I frickin love it.

I don't think this is crazy. Several teams have been to two or less in their history. The Saints have been to two in four years. Expecting to get to the Superbowl shouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities. Especially as good as they're playing this season.

Any doubt about how good this team seems to be driven by the national media and they've proven time and again that they know jack shite.

Again, I don't think y'all understand what I'm trying to say. In no way shape or form am I doubting this team or thinking we won't make it to the Super Bowl. I am one of the biggest die hard Saints fans you will find and I have believed in this team all season and every season.

I am just trying to point out how freaking awesome it is that we can come to think about the Saints this way now-a-days. It's completely different from when I was a kid and I'm relishing it now.

Atittudes change.

Fans who never suffered under Mecom can never understand what it was like being the Aints. People who dont go even go back to the 90s (and dont recall Ditka) and only know the Saints from this millennium really have no clue what it was like being the laughingstock of the league -- they only know the team as just another franchise with ups and downs.

Winning the SB forever burried the Aints and burned the bags. We are now one of the top franchises in the NFL and our expectations have risen accordingly.

We've been making history all season long. This game is another opportunity to put one more notch in the belt

You don't know what spoiled is. I got a friend who is a Saints season ticket holder and went to Bama. 2 crystal balls and possibly 2 Lombards in 3 seasons

I agree, when I was comin' up everyone loved Pittsburgh or Dallas (since it was Terry.B. and Americas team)

What's really nice is the young kids gettin into football right now will only know our teams as greatness.

Exactly!! My 7 year old nephew which is also my god-child absolutely loves the Saints. I've been buying him Saints gear and memorabilia since he was a baby and it's fun seeing him and my other nephews really being die hards from birth.
