My dear brothers of the Tiger Rant. Quick Question, I ve been living up here in Big Sky country since 2008 when I had a better opportunity than what I was getting in Louisiana at the time. Still have my season ticket and still contribute to the TAF. Cousins and Brother in law and family go to every game on my tickets. Here' s the deal though Is the economy down there still so bad that a lot of Tiger fans had to sell their tickets at exorbitant prices just to make money? i couldnt believe what I saw on TV and have been reading.. I cant believe that we were close to being outnumbered at the game by Bama bans. Really that is sickening to think that some sold their tickets (I read on here where one fan sold his tickets for $2200 and didnt go to the game). Im sure there are plenty of average Tiger fans like myself and my brother in law and family that would have loved to go to the game and yeller our butts off even with that fiasco if we could have afforded to get tickets. So please let me know if the economy is still stinking it up down there to where Tiger fans are having to supplement their incomes by really scalping tickets? Thanks, really would like to know.

Nope, our fan's are the best like they like to claim. they sold out for money and are on here bitching about a 13-1 season and want to fire the coach.

i do think this web page has contributed to the destruction of our fan base. it's given a voice to the ignorant and they have taken a lot of fun out of the games. 13-0 and people are screaming every week about j.j. or j.l. instead of embracing the best season in the history of lsu.

didn't surprise me the fans took the cash over their support. says everything about our fans.

Thanks for your honesty. My only outlet like a lot of people away from Baton rouge is the Tiger Rant and listening to sports talk on the radio. Just coulnt understand the selling of tickets at exorbitant prices when so many of my friends and family would love to have gone but could not afford much over face value and Im sure a lot of folks like myself and others would have loved to go to the game.

Where on earth do you get that the economy is 'stinking it up?' The economy overall in the entire country is stinking it up.
But actually, the economy in Louisiana is actually better than most places in the country.
Unemployment is lower than the rest of the U.S., and diversification and high-tech companies are coming in to Louisiana.
This has nothing to do with the economy. And it wasn't a lot of Tiger fans doing this, just some who wanted to make a quick buck, not all 35-40,000 or so Tiger fans.
It looked like to me about 55-45% LSU, maybe even closer to 60-40.......
