shame is, miles is a great coach, but

the national perception is that he's a fool.
saban made him look foolish, because saban had a well thought out game plan and miles did not, and miles didn't do anything to try and counter.
he's a good man, with some great qualities for a head coach, but his weaknesses really show up in the national spotlight.
his public persona works great, until he is shown up for a fool on national tv. then he is not the eccentric genius, he's the national buffoon.
IMO, the only way to counter is admit that the coaching staff did not have his offense prepared, and was unable to make adjustments, and that they will learn and move forward.
his explanations so far are just so much more foolishness.

the media loves to make fun of him.
Hell, buddy, he is a great coach, did you read that? I love coach miles.

I lament this, because he's more than that.

The same idiots that get their info from Robert Smith, Lou Holtz, and Herbstret? Why would Miles care if a nation full of Kardashians care what they think of him

it's human nature to care. look how much it hurts you to have someone point out that he looks like a fool.

some of his decisions are foolish.
His clock management has been downright ridiculous. It wasn't a problem this year because the situation never arose. However, I could argue we should've tried a hurry up spread pass offense when we were down 15-0. Instead, we ran clock.
His decision to stick with JJ this year is downright retarded. Why Mett was not given a shot is beyond foolish.
Not hiring an OC for next year is another foolish decision.
Hiring the co[tards at DC in 08 was a foolish decision. Major programs do NOT hire unproven coordinators.
Again, this doesn't make him a bad coach, but him makes him a coach is a great recruiter who makes retarded decisions.

He's won 2 of the last 3 against bama. i'm as frustrated as everyone else over the poor showing, but in looking at the big picture we're in good shape - all will be ok.

True. But not the one that mattered most. The frustration is not that we lost the one that mattered most, but that we did it in such a uncompetitive way.... with no attempt at trying something different. With a proven qb on the sidelines, and one in the game crapping his pants(and we all knew it was a possibility). Thats the problem with the whole situation.

a bama poster loves coach miles. that kind of makes my point.
sure, miles is 3-3, but in the big games, who will trade their coach for miles?

lots of schools. how many big games has Miles lost? you're talking like it happens all the time.....it doesn't.
he's won ALOT more big games than he's ever lost or ever will lose

every coach has a shitty day. How about when Saban got beat 31-0 at home by Dennis Franchione and Bama?
