or was it just keep running the option until it worked, or the wr screen, or the 5 yard slants?

Saban knew during our first meeting that we ran the option effectively. Of course, he would game plan and try to stop it.

Please someone explain to me what happened last night.

He definitely didn't have a backup qb in mind.

i don't know about that. During halftime of the SECCG, Jarrett Lee was going to start the 2nd half. We get a big punt return inside the 30 and Miles decides to go with JJ. And, the rest is history.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if he told Lee to warm up and get ready and then just changed his mind. He has done that to Lee often the last two years.

No backup plan was ever formulated apparently. It was come Hell or high water , im going to sticke what has worked and if it doesnt work tonight then we will just sink. Funny how conservative Saban could adjust and come out with a totally different game plan and the supposed Mad Hatter did the saom ole thing with the same ole QB.

No. I honestly feel like he liked his plan, and simply emphasized executing the same plan better in the second half. This is why there was no change in the gameplan.

Also, in his mind, Lee wasn't an option because there WAS NO other offensive plan. Lee would have just run the same plays JJ did.

That would be much worse than just being stubborn. Means he has no ability to adjust.

Our defensive game plan was to stop Richardson. Saban knew that, which is why he came out throwing.

That's just it. In a re-match the losing team adjusts for the re-match. The winning team tends not to change tendencies.

It happened with LSU-Notre Dame. ND came down to Baton Rouge during the regular season and stomped LSU. Both teams met in the Indy Bowl for the rematch.

LSU fixed all the problems with the first game relying on the idea that ND would repeat their game plan by the same script. ND repeated their game plan and LSU slobberknocked them.

Why Les why? You were on the verge of being the best coach in college football. Why so much love for JJ? and the fricking option

No backup plan whatsoever. That's why no adjustments were ever made.
