Beating a team twice - just to reiterate

I know it's been discussed here. I know people have used the Saints as an example of beating the Lions. Great example.

I'm a Raiders fan (sadly), the Raiders rolled to an 8-0 AFC West record last season. They beat Denver twice, San Diego twice, and Kansas City twice.

The whole beating a team twice thing is weak. However, we're still hearing it from the so called "experts". Dumb argument and NO validity to it.

Beating a good time twice is much easier than beating an unbeatable team once.

It is a saying that has no statistical fact.

I like Dandy Don's statement:

IT MAY BE HARD TO DEFEAT BAMA TWICE IT IS HARDER TO BEAT LSU JUST ONCE

I'm more worried about the difficulty of winning 14 games in a row where so many of those games were against great opponents. Not to mention that it's a conference rival and not to mention that it's a revenge game.
If these Tigers pull this off, I don't think there can be any doubt that it's one of the greatest teams ever.

Im just loving how everyone is saying how bama left some meat on the bone on 11/5. You don't think LSU could've executed on some frickin plays too? ?

I have been trying to stay away from ESPN lately but a few weeks ago they went back and found that only 6 of the last 20 rematch games in bowls the original victor won. Or something to that effect. Could have been a lower number than 6.

I was watching the LSU-Bama replay and right before the half we had Randle drop a TD pass and Ware cut inside on our last offensive play when if he would have cut outside he would have had Dre one on one at the one. We came MUCH closer to scoring TDs than Bama.

Ruben Randle dropped TD pass

JJ under throwing RS

Kicking a field goal from the 3 or 4 on 3rd down because there were only 2 seconds left on the clock before halftime

etc

etc

etc

I'm sure they knew that when they were actively campaigning for the rematch. I don't believe there's a conspiracy, but I do think ESPN has too much influence.

I don't see how this applies anyway. According to most, we didn't beat them the first time, they beat themselves. So we're going for the first win here!

Of course they couldn't use the SEC as the proving ground as it wouldn't support the spin.
Same season rematches in the SEC heavily favor 1st winner and often a greater point spread in 2nd game.

I've thought of this as well but I believe the first halves avaunt WKU and UGA were our "losses" if you will.
I haven't seen one minute of the pre game chatter, already heard enough of the Bama won crap. I think PJ hurt, Lee's 2 INTs, and Randles drop is enough counter to that silly argument.
