I just got a phone call from my cousin. He shot a big buck this morning. He is at the camp waiting to go look for it. They have been seeing bucks the last 2 days chasing. He missed an big 8 yesterday on the steps of our camp. I will post pics when I get them.

He is 23 and its his first buck. Dont know who's more excited me or him. We have been hunting together for around 18 years.

I am stuck offshore till Wednesday. I hope they still chasin when I get there.

Yep. We are a little west of there in Jefferson county, but word has it they turned in on 2 days ago as well. And they are spanking the ducks arse. And I get to stay home and lay brick on my house this weekend, yay!

Rut is over in SW TN. They were all on lockdown the past 10 days or so. Nothing moving. Cousin that lives on the farm called this morning and said they are moving again as of yesterday. Feeding heavy since it warmed back up and the hellacious wind died down. We have the youth hunt tomorrow and Sun. Hopefully the youngun will be able to get one. Then it's over until Sep...

Oh well. On to squirrel season until 2/29!
