People will argue, but you're probably right. He hated the pro game and lied and schemed his way out of it to get back where he felt more comfortable.

That being said, I still think we have the better coach now.

Maybe for him, but not for us. I hate Saban for being a coach at Bama. But I'm much happier with Les as our coach. I truly think that this is Les' Michigan. Saban will be gone from Bama in less than 5 years.

LSU is as good off, or better now than when Saban was coach. It's time for LSU fans to get over their Saban/Finebaum/BOL obsessions and pay more attention to what is happening at LSU.

LSU has beaten Bama the last two head to head matchups and has everything in it's favor for the rematch. It's a great time to be a Tiger fan.

Poor Gumps. All those years winning with the Bear and then having to live in a world where their current coach helped make LSU better than them and knowing that his successor improved LSU to the point that their Coach is now facing a turkey of loses to Les.

For him I agree. But for us, I truly feel that we ended up with the better end of the deal. Les is here to stay for a long time imo and will go down as, by far, the greatest coach we've ever had. Plus he's much more personable, likeable, amusing, etc.

Oh please. He FAILED. he knew that one more losing season with the Dolphins and he would be FIRED. He tucked tail and ran like the little BITCH that he is.

You do know that before he became a Gump Saban tried to be rehired by LSU, hired by Penn State and at least one west coast school? The man is a pathetic immature piece of horse feces.

And we ended up with Miles and Brees.

I agree with the OT but if I had to pick between Leslie and Nicky, I would pick Les every time. The OT could come across as butthurt but I agree with denoting the fact without any connotation to it which is what I think you meant to come across.

We definitely got the better human being, which in turn will give the LSU program stability and allure to recruits for years to come.
You mix integrity with an ability to recruit and coach world class players, and we'll be enjoying many more BCS games for a very long time.
