Watched the Ole War Skule DVD last night and I saw a bunch of pictures of Cholly I hadn't seen before. Noticed a resemblance between he and CLM in them. Was wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing

Also, Ronnie Estay telling stories about he and Arthur Cantrelle teaching the line to speak Cajun French so the other team wouldn't know the assignaments is just about the most badass thing in the history of badass things.

I watched it two nights ago and thought the same thing. I think that Coach Mac, while being a player's coach too, was a little more intense than Miles, but not nearly as successful or innovative. Miles is hands down the better recruiter. They both liked to wear their hats way up high though.

BTW, that is a great flick!!!!!! Best Christmas present I got this year.

Some interesting commentary from people who agree and disagree.

There is no resemblance.

Cholly Mac and Les Miles should never even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Cholly was a mediocre at best coach. Miles is a legend.

Little uncalled for IMO. It was a different period in college football. Bear and Bama were suiting up 200 players, paying 3 quarters of them. He couldn't beat Bama which no one could....(see the above)

CMac was a good coach, beloved by his players, much the same way Miles seems to be. I think they have much in common from a player relationship perspective.
