So, does this move the homecoming game into October (vs. Towsend) or do we play Miss State?

Probably not, but you know ESPN will pimp USC if they are undefeated for a title, and the talking heads excuse everything Denard does. The hype machine will be out, and it might not be in our favor considering the SEC has two in this year. Bottom line is this schedule could be an excuse, and I don't like giving voters an excuse.

Yea, and that was before the SEC won SIX consecutive national titles which will be the case after Jan. 9 one way or another.

When LSU beats Bama, we'll be a consensus preseason #1 and have absolutely zero chance of getting left out if we go undefeated again.

You wouldn't defend

being left out of the championship game? And you are a "fan" of said team? And I'm the dumbass?

Again, GTFO.

We went to the La Tech vs. A&M game a few years ago. You could see how they upped the number of "seats", they made each seat number closer to each other. My 8 year old could not sit in his "seat" because he was too big. Plus they stick visitors in the corner where you cannot see much. I am getting our tickets from A&M - would suggest to all to do same to get decent seats at Kyle field.

Not too hard of a schedule. Very good chance we go undefeated again.

It was also just after an LSU team beat that same OU team fairly easily in the previous National Championship Game.

With the way things look now regarding our schedule, no I wouldn't.

Yes, you are the dumbass. You're the dumbass for a multitude of different reasons. Those reasons, however, do not include thinking that LSU should deserve to be in the big game next season should we go undefeated. I'm not saying that I don't think we don't deserve to go, or that we would be left out, merely that I wouldn't defend the team were they to get overlooked with this schedule. As a season ticket holder and a fan of the program I find it to be unacceptable.

Is this the latest we have ever played Miss. State in the modern era?

Looks like State was a November regular in the 80s, the early season move could have been a result of the the 92 expansion.

Yeah we always used to play Miss State late in the year before expansion.

12-0 AGAIN. Unless WE shoot ourselves in the foot. The BALL will be in the air more next year which will open up the running game EVEN more.

We need that after this season

Each season is independent of the other.

LSU should really have done something about the Towson game. There is no benefit from playing it as opposed to a mid level BCS team.
