1. The two best teams are playing in the NCG

2. The two 'best' teams already played, how do we know OSU et.al. aren't the best.

which are you?

this. eyeball test is bullshite and bama had their shot.

the world swore up and down that Michigan/Ohio State were CLEARLY the best two teams in the nation after they played to a virtual standoff in 2006 and then UF ripped 15 new assholes in buckeye.

It came off as such a fix too. Okie St dominating Oklahoma and Va Tech losing to Clemson were the only two things that had to happen for Okie to have a shot and neither one were out of the realm of possibility but ESPN spent a week saying that it didn't matter. They turned gameday into a Saban/Bama infomercial and we still ended up with the closest 2/3 finish in BCS history. If they had acknowledged that Okie St had a shot from the get go then i think enough votes would have swung their way to get them into the title game.

but we'll beat the dog frick outta bama anyways so sa la vie bitches.

That's why people shouldn't listen to all of their dribble...

1.
Okie Stat had their chance also. They chose to loose to a 4 TD underdog. The goal of the BS is to match the two best tams up at the end of the year. LSU is clearly the best up to this point. Then who is next is the question. Alabama, Okie State,or Stanford was your choices. Alabama hands down is the best of these three teams.

So if they were a 2 TD underdog instead of 4 it would be OK? (or 5 points?) The line in Vegas determines who is a valid opponent?
Wha? That shite is WEAK.

This is simple shite. Put your "well, it just bothers me" emotions to the side (if that applies)...

1) Everyone knew the rules all along. Gundy has stated this all along also. If he is not complaining, why should anyone else?

2) The for majority of people really do think Bama is better than Ok State.

3) Ok State lost to a far-less-than-impressive Iowa State team. That is a huge dent in any claim to be a legit top-5 or top-10 team, much less a top-2 team. Gundy admits they lost the control of their own destiny when THEY lost this game.

Bama is undefeated in regulation. We made it in 2007 with 2 OT losses, whereas they are given a chance with 1 OT loss, not to Kentucky or Arkansas, but to the undefeated consensus best team in the country.

This is some simple shite.

Different year different circumstances...BTW it was 2 OT losses, both in the SEC

I hate this retarded selective gump logic. They're too stupid to see that it can easily be turned around... "All bama had to do to make themselves a lock for the NC game was win AT HOME against a team that couldn't even score a touchdown."

See how that works, you stupid fuking delusional gump retards?

I am somewhat #2.

But lately I am in camp #3

The nation is scared of and respects LSU so much that rather than play someone that would lose by 30 they would rather sacrifice a team that already knows what it's like to lose to LSU.

While this is true, the goal should be to find the best team. We already know it's not bama. So someone else should get a shot.

It's pretty simple.. #2

Ok. State played a much better schedule than bama.
Ok. State has a better record than bama with a division championship.
Ok. state has not already lost to LSU.

Gundy is not complaining because he's not used to this level of success. a BCS bowl is a BCS bowl to him..

There is no way to know definitively who the #2 team is:

My criteria would be the following:
1- Stregnth of schedule
2- Quality wins
3- Conference Champs?

Unfortunately that was all thrown away in lieu of the eyeball test.

The College champ of Alabama with victories over R Kansas, Penn St and Auburn have been declared worthy of the NCG.

All of this.

I'm not bitching anymore, but you'll never convince me that Alabama deserved to go over Oklahoma State.
