Tweaking the skiff

With the cooler weather here in Fla and the no seeums dying. I'm getting the skiff ready for some nite time action. Just installed new LED lights in the cockpit and in the livewell. Gonna put the hurt on the snook real soon.

It's a Flamingo skiff made in 1985so I'm told..17' with a 1997 20hp merc that I had reworked bored out and propped. She runs like a scalded cat, 35mph by the handheld GPS. She has 2 livewells, built in 12 gal fuel tank. I don't pole it but sit on the platform and steer with my foot searching the flats. She drifts great and true, so I never put a trolling motor on her. I have a little Odessy AGM battery that runs the lights and pumps for 10 hrs with juice left over. She drifts shallow but still needs a jackplate.

Nice rig, I fish alone a lot during the winter. That's so open I could keep warm running from front to back.
