stated that TCU's defense was the best in recent memory. Anyone care to elaborate on that?

Well if that's the case then I lost a lot of respect for him. La. Tech ran all over them... I just figured it was Holtz who said it, it sounds like something he'd say.

They said TCU's D was one of the top rated defenses over the last 10 years. They were correct. This year they have understandably fallen only returning 3 starters.

Okay, top rated and best are def. not the same thing... Top rated makes sense, best not so much

They meant Pointsettia Bowl memory

Holding Tech to 24 probably put the exclamation point on that one

The TCU drama was really getting on my nerves. La. Tech is a pretty solid team. I watched the Miss St game and the bowl. IMO I think they could have beat state as well as tcu but whoever is calling their plays must have Gary Crowton on the line. Very poor decisions. Both games.

I have heard it all before. OK and Wisky said it too. We will see how things go over th next several years.

I would have taken the 2010 TCU D against anyone though.

They seem to be suffering from what LSU suffered the last few years with Crowton, if he infact was making the play calling decisions.

They have an excuse. Their OC just left a couple of weeks ago.

Last years TCU team would have been 3rd or 4th in the SEC West.

Which still would have made them a top ten caliber team.

Maybe they meant, " This TCU defense is the best defense fielded by TCU in recent memory."

That's the only way I can make any real sense of it.
