Anybody heard about this? It stars Ralph and Gerald Butler and it's Fiennes directorial debut. It's based on the Shakespeare play of the same name but takes place in modern day Rome, basically if Rome had never dissolved. Looks very interesting, plus Ralph Fiennes is a very good actor so his directorial style should be decent.

With the cast it definitely has potential. It kinda has a Children of Men feel to it.

Gerard Butler was an interesting choice. He passes the eye test for the role, but I can't really see him being a great Shakespearian actor.

Supposedly Fiennes hand picked Gerald for the role. At first I thought it was kind of an odd pick, but if you look at the role he is playing, he really is a pretty good pick. And the cast is top-notch.
