Does Gus have a buyout? And did we get around Roof's buyout by him taking that job instead of being fired?

Roof was asked to look for a job, so you aren't pursuing his buyout.

As for Gus, dont expect AU to hold him to his buyout either. He wanted out badly and AU isn't/wasn't going to prevent him from it.

Roll 'em, my man. It's the truth. He took a $500K paycut to leave. He could have stayed another year, repaired the minimal damage that his reputation took, worked on interviewing skills, and had a BCS job next year. He left b/c he wanted out. I'm not saying that is a reflection of what he expected to come next year in terms of offensive production, but it is a product of several things.

It's possible that we encouraged him to find another job. Or maybe he realized the numbers we put up on offense weren't going to get him a better HC position, plus Arky St. is back home for him. You might be right, but it's dumb to just state pure speculation like it's fact.

Based only on my own observations, I get the sense that Gus didn't have the autonomy to run his offense the way he wanted to at AU and that is why he left.
