The strategy:

1- Never punt. Drive stalls at the LSU 35, attempt the 82 yard field goal.

Reasoning: It is a no-risk play. Bama never made it inside our 30 anyway, so they'll turn the ball back over to us after a 3 and out.

2- Never punt. Drive stalls at the Bama 27, attempt the 44 yard field goal.

Reasoning: Drew Alleman is 16 for 17 at 44 yards of less. Score!

3- Never punt. Drive stalls at the LSU45, Bama 40, Bama 45, whatever, attempt the 62 to 72 yard field goal.

Reasoning: Even if Bama somehow squeaks out a few more points the the score board, LSU won because we only missed all those field goals.

See how that works!

Now I didn't say we couldn't fake punt. But running one in from 52 yards out would be kind of rubbing it in.

Unless he dribbles the ball on the way down the left sideline... then that could be kinda fair. I'd take that.
