"Want to"? They desperately wish for it. All of their unis and stuff have a gigantic "UL" on it with a barely legible "Lafayette" underneath.

Yes, IMHO. Hardcore UL fans generally despise LSU....so for their coach to mistakenly be labeled as the "LSU head coach" in their hometown newspaper seems to be an insult, a testament to the idea that they can't escape the fact that LSU is the flagship and in a different class.
