IF we don't catch the Niners and a first-round BYE, wouldn't you all agree that this is the date of our HOME Wild Card game?

I believe we certainly hang on and edge the Falcons for the South, and I only ask this question 'cause I already plan on bein' in NOLA to see the Tigers roll the Tide in the BCS Championship on the 9th! Would be absolutely kick-arse to see the Saints in a home Playoff game 2 days prior!

I think the game would def be scheduled for Saturday (7th) rather than Sunday due to the BCS on Monday, but I wanted to get some opinions strictly for accommodations-sake???

Of course I would prefer to begin post-season play the following weekend, but this could make for one hell of a football weekend!!!

Thoughts???

I would imagine it would be on Saturday, the NFL schedule is not set in stone. Saints make a good Saturday night game anyway.

Saturday at 3-3:30 would be my guess. Same time slot as that monstrosity of a game in Seattle last year.

Damn, where'd you find that? I see no way that they would play a home game sunday in the afternoon time slot. This year the NFC apparently receives the primetime saturday night slot so it seems that would be the option.

I'm not sure if this is where he got that schedule, but this site has a disclaimer..

* Please note that the NFL has not released the times for the playoff games. For the 7th and 8th, we know that the NFL will alternate which conference starts play each day, but we don’t have a guarantee on which conference will play first on the January 7th, etc. As more information becomes available the article will be revised. If you are making travel plans, please assume the most conservative approach to booking your flight(s) until we know the final game times
