I think LSU is undefeated because of the "distractions" not despite them

I was reading this morning about LSU's distractions, the OC coach with Parkinson's, the bar fight, blah etc... and got to thinking. I feel this team is better because of these distractions. When a player gets suspended and the team rolls on he realized he isn't bigger than the team and it makes him merely wants to do his part. I'm not saying this team wouldn't be undefeated if they didn't have the crap to go through but I don't think this team would have been this tight and seem like a family if they didn't go through the mess that they did.
