Lsu is #12 in rushing #99 in passing. Before the SEC championship we had around 130 possessions not including end of half or end of game possessions. We scored on close to 70, got stopped on 3rd down on close to 40 passing plays but only 20+ rushing plays. Until Saturday, i dont remember being stopped on 3 rushes in a row. Does anyone know how many 3 and outs we had on 3 rushing plays in a row? Maybe some of you know better, not the young guys, but the older crew, but why do we throw the ball ie Saturday?. Seems like the games we've been behind, we threw the ball more and got behind, then we changed the game plan and went to our bread and butter and we pounded it out and took over. (ie Georgia and Arky} I'd rather be in control from the beginning and it seems like we can. I dont think any team can stop us multiple times 3 and out running the ball, downhill, wide and with JJ. They have when we throw incompletes. How humiliating would it be to lose a game to a team that never threw the ball. Our OL has been the best in the country year in and year out, they never get the credit they deserve. Seems like if you were to ask them they would rather block forward knowing where they are going than back up and try to stop the other guy going around them. IDK, jus looking for feedback, from someone other than the Gary Crowton, west coast lovers.
