Other than the obvious undefeated 13-0 record, what statistic do you feel is most impressive and best describes the dominance shown by this year's team?

For me, it would be that our defense and special teams have only allowed 4 more TD's than they have scored. In 13 games our defense and special teams have allowed a total of 13 TD's but have also scored 9 TD's. Pretty amazing.

Also, Of 50 punts by Brad wing, 23 punts have been downed inside the 20, and 18 have gone for 50 or more yards. Also, opponents have only returned 17 punts for a total of 6 yards, averaging just 12.7 inches per return.

What says the rant?

I don't know why, but that one just blows my mind.

No SEC opponent scored more than 1 offensive TD against the LSU D?
Can that possibly be right?

But LSU has three wins over current top-six BCS teams; the rest of the BCS top 25 combined has two top-6 wins.

Don't have exact #'s but

1. The balance between our four running backs. Yardage and td's.
2. Turnover margin -+20 I believe.
3. The number of players with at least 1 sack. It's close to 20 different players I believe.

Also want to point out the few yards we have given up in the kickoff coverage. Landry pins them deep

The punt stat is incredible but I have to agree with you on this one.

This team has unreal stats this yr. One that is pretty amazing is having more interceptions than allowed completed passes on throws over 20yds.

Going into UGA it was 8int to 6 completions.
I think Simon changed that to 9-6. Not positive, but pretty sure.

Turnover margin

I am not sure if this is still true but we have more interceptions of passes thrown 20 yards or more than other teams have completions

This season, in SEC play, LSU has given up:
In 3rd quarter: 1 TD
In 4th quarter: 2 TDs
Since October: 0 TDs
2nd Half, not in garbage time: 0 TDs

Wing is close to being our mvp. He has made a difference in evey game and has allowed our d to play the way they do because of field position. Others have made alot of plays but he is the only one to make them in every game. I know you don't give mvp to punters but if ever there was one it would be him.
