Thoughts on our depth

I believe the main reason our depth works is because we have the stellar athletes that aren't the prima donna's. Instead our athletes are focused on the goal of victory and championships for the team. Les sells our program on this facet and the players buy into it.
Like I posted a few days ago, Les shows inclusiveness to all players. Biggest example is when coming out of the tunnel, you see underclassmen in the front as well as the upperclassmen. So many coaches usually only allow the upperclassmen to lead the team (old school mentality). This is a special group and I hope we continue this style of football.

Some years that works, other times the challenge is a little bit tougher but that's why coaches get paid and why assts are making more money - to make those tough decisions on playing time and developing players who are not playing all the time and keeping them motivated.
I think Miles player development has gone unnoticed. He knows when to kick them in the rear and when the calming influence is still there.
How do you think Petrino or Saban would've handled Lee back in 2008.

Personally I think that both would have killed his confidence and he would have felt more inept to transfer. You see how Saban reacted last year to AJ in mop up duty. That is not a knock on either coach, because both are great at their job....just different mentalities.
