Did David Garrard die, or have his skills eroded that much?

Guy was a multi-year starting NFL QB, and nobody is even talking about him, even those teams in the most dire straights

He had back surgery. Teams generally don't sign players that would immediately go to IR.

Injured. Well that's what I heard yesterday. Said he turned down request from teams earlier this year cause of the injury.

Multi-year starting QB whose number have been in a decline since his one good year. After Jax cut him he elected to have season ending back surgery on a herniated disc.

He is, and that's an accomplishment, but this is funny though:

On January 24, 2010, David Garrard was selected as the third quarterback for the AFC team of the 2010 Pro Bowl, backing up Matt Schaub and Vince Young after Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger and Carson Palmer were unable to participate.
