per the FOX crew broadcasting the Falcons-Vikings game
"To think that LSU the #1 team in the land has another game to play and the #2 team is sitting as the co-leader if you will in the clubhouse...boy something just doesn't add up about all that"

It's the NFL. Playoff systems don't put as much value on a regular season win. Rematches happen all the time.

He is actually knocking the idea that many others view Bama as a "co-leader".

The quote was offered as stated and the only offense taken was on the "co-leader" reference.
LSU is NOT the "co-leader" in ht clubhouse. The point that he was trying to make would have been better if he had stated that LSU was the leader in the clubhouse.
Other than that I took no offense to the rest of the comment or sentiment that it offered.

Yea, I agree, but this isn't the NFL.
Seems like the #1 team is being treated like a wildcard, having to play an extra game to land a spot. While the #2 team, which did not win its division nor conference and was beaten at home by the #1 team, gets to sit by and do nothing.
Doesn't seem like the NFL to me.
