I didn't follow the game thread and did not see any mention of this on the CBS broadcast or on TD after the game.

What went down?

I don't think he knew the play but I'm not sure

Shep called a timeout.

It was EPIC.

Earlier thread said something about not enough men on the line if scrimmage

Les agree with whatever he said.

Not sure the reasoning but it looked like when the ball was snapped a pass play was called, which made zero sense b/c we were running the ball for 5-10 yards each play. After TO we called a run and scored on the next play.

Correct.

He noticed it and instead of getting a critical 5 yard penalty there, we took a timeout.

Very smart.

When I saw it, it looked like it was about to be a reverse to shep. He looked over and the formation didn't match what he was expecting. He had to be the the guy that was about to get the ball or he wouldn't have called the TO.

Thanks - first time I've ever seen a WR call a TO from the line of scrimmage. Did notice Les' curt nod to TS on the sideline afterward.

Nice heads-up play. Ballsy too.

In our section, we noticed this as well, and we figured that things must be bad when your WRs are calling TO because passing plays are called.

There were only 6 men on the line of scrimmage. Boone was the outside guy and supposed to be on the line but wasn't.

Bill Gonzales was telling him good job on the sidelines.

If you watch the replay you will see that Shep is trying to get folks lined up properly but that wasn't happening...thus, the timeout... Heads up play...
