Question for any Longhorn fans or for anyone else or fanbase that may have knowledge. Now , I know that Mack Brown want get fired or at least I dont think that would happen but if he was to lose tonight to the Aggies and then next week to Baylor, do you think he will step down? TIA

I don't see Mack leaving after this year. After clearing out some dead weight and bringing in some new blood on the coaching staff he seems energized. With so much young talent seeing the field this year and despite the 5-7 disaster, he's bringing in another loaded class.

He will get this team back on the right track and ride things out for a few before hangin em up. I'll give him about 2-3 more yrs.

Thanks for the answer. I was just curious after hearing some of the rumors. I tend to agree with you, He has had great recruiting classes and obviously the man can coach so I can see him sticking around. Good luck tonight and hope you have had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Perhaps he'll one day be moved to the AD post. Maybe sooner than we think...

May texas lose tonight!

I have always liked Mack from way back but hard to believe any fan base would not be a little anxious after losing 13+ games over 2 seasons.

He will prolly stay but the leash has to be getting short.

With the talent in Texas and with UT getting the pick of the litter of that talent there truly is no excuse for these past 2 seasons.

Aren't all of this dead wood his hires? What makes you believe that he will be smarter the next time around?

I am absolutely amazed at the patience of Texas fans. Mack gets the pick-of-the-litter of the state's recruits yet has won only two conference titles in fourteen years and gets plunger-raped by Oklahoma on the reg. For this, they make him the highest-paid coach in America.

Well Les Miles hired Mallory and Peveto, then replaced them with Chavis. Was that smarter the 2nd time around? How about replace Crowton with Krags and Stud? Was that a better move?
