I know that Cowboys season ticket holders got first pick of the LSU/Oregon game tickets, and I'm pretty sure that Falcons fans get first pick of SEC Championship Game tickets (minus the allotment given to both schools).

I'm wondering if people in Louisiana or Saints season ticket holders will have any type of advantage at getting tickets to the big game in the Superdome.

Sugar Bowl Season Ticket Holders get to buy BCS Tickets too.

So I guess that is increased numbers of LA people with tickets

Not all Sugar Bowl people though. I'm on their email list and can buy the presale tickets but have never been offered MNC game.

Yes some people can renew same seats every year and they get dibs.

Then the stupid state legislators all get tickets too

So, besides the school allotment and the legislators (this fricking state...), and the corporate sponsors, who does get to buy tickets at face value?

The Sugar Bowl committee controls some tickets (not allocated to teams, sponsors, brokers, etc.) so that might be a minor advantage for local people with connections. But the biggest advantage is the costs. We just pay mainly for tickets and don't have to bare as much in the way of hotel and travel expenses so we can bid higher on the open market for the tickets.
