Had a good friend take me to Jim bel's in hackberry with his family (my first guided Louisiana duck hunt). Hunt was excellent. His dad and bro shot limits and we should have shot a limit, but its a long story. Ended up with 13 between us 2 and the guide. Oh, and this was Thursday. A lot of grays and pintails around there.

I hunt on Fina's land somewhere west of West Cove. Pops went last weekend and said it was 'alright', a couple limits others got 2 or 3 ducks.

But, speaking of Hackberry, Brown's used to have the fricking best deli. Am Mart reminds me of their sandwiches, but Brown's were better.

Have gone out with Jim Bel many times over the past 8 yrs and have never stayed in a blind longer than 2 hrs without shooting our limits. Guides are excellent and the food and hospitality are second to none. I recommend them to anyone wanting to hunt in the Hackberry area. The fishing and crabbing at his place is excellent as well.

Browns has an awesome deli! Try one of their breakfast burritos! They are big and cooked in the panini press like AM mart sandwiches.

Thanks guys. My buddy has a place there and drove in friday night. He says his arms are about to fall off after wade fishing all day. Apparently he cleaned fish for 2 hours!
