This is what's wrong with the BCS... There's just no flexibility.

Assuming LSU wins out, none of the remaining 1-loss teams stands out as the obvious choice as LSU's opponent. The BCS should improvise at that point, before the last vote is taken. They should offer a deal and see if the schools agree to it. Offer Bama, Oregon, The OU/OSU winner, and the VT/Clemson winner a 4 team playoff with the winner going to the BCSNCG. Rather than risk their future on the whims of the voters, I bet those schools would go for it. ...And whoever wins it will deserve their spot in the BCSNCG!

That would be some killer football! Let the networks start bidding...

EDT: Either that or they should put Bama in and play best of 3 with LSU up 1-0.

Exactly what I was telling my friend earlier if things fall into place where Bama gets in they should implement a best 2 out of 3 only to make it fair

One team does stand out. They lost 1 game in overtime in a dog fight to the #1 team in the nation. The other team Oregon didn't even belong on the field with LSU. Then there is OU with a horrible loss to Texas Tech. It's obvious to anybody who #2 is but nobody wants that difficult of a game again. They don't want 2 teams exposing each other. They want a game we know LSU can dominate.

I'll tell you this, the BCS has many flaws, butttt, it is a thousand times better than the "system" that was in place before it.
Think about how much talk the BCS generates, it gives millions of people to talk and chatter about their teams. It generates excitement about the game, we are in a special position this year, we hold the trump card right now, we win out, we are in. Screw the rest I say. LOL And if we do make it there, then I say bring on the best team, whoever that might be!!!
Stay thirsty my friend!!!

Many people clambering for change in the BCS system don't realize that even if there is a playoff of some sort (even a plus-one), there has to be a way to choose the top teams. What system do you use to select those if the BCS is no good?

They don't deserve another shot at LSU. LSU BEAT them at home! LSU would have won a SEC championship game while bama sits at home. Just don't seem right to let bama have another shot.

The only flaw I see is that LSU must win 3 games, while Bama only needs to win 2.

But I'm a disciple of anyone, any time, any where. CLM has his boys hungry.

ETA....I also have a problem if LSU loses a game, they are out of contention when they beat arguably the top two one loss teams.

There's no system that can accurately pick only 2 teams. It is either self-evident or somebody gets screwed. The same applies to 4, 8, 16, etc. (even if just seeding a playoff), The larger the number of teams, the more diluted the complaints of being left out are though.
