That was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen in person. I still remember the Ole Miss fans sobbing after the game. They truly thought it was their year.

Lavalais was as dominant that year as any LSU DL ever.

He was just a nasty motherfricking prison guard playing college football and making people his bitch.

I was in the LSU section. My big sister was a sophomore at Ole Miss and was sitting with us. I had so much fun going out with her in Oxford and it made me realize I could still be an LSU fan and go there. 2 years later I go to Ole Miss and I am still a huge Tiger fan. Great decision I made and this game was a big part of it.

ETA:

To make the story sweeter, she lived next door to Eli on the square on a balcony. We jumped the balcony railing after the game and covered his balcony in LSU streamers and pompoms.

Cat: If Ole Miss beats LSU this weekend, I'm sending a copy of your post to Archie & Olivia!

Oh well, it looks like your secret is safe.

When they are lining up in their stances, it looks like the two lines are very far apart from each other. Anyone notice this? Seems like nowadays they get much closer.
