I just rewatched the Bama game for the 2nd time...and on a number of plays, TM7 had opportunities to chuck the WR before they made their cuts, but instead the WR got the push off to get separation.

Im not trying to be nitpicky...the kid is one of the best DBs we ever had...but I think he's so good that he actually WANTS the QB to throw to his guy so he can make a play...thus he doesnt try and disrupt the WRs progress and timing of the play.

I agree and was puzzpled by that in both the UT and 'Bama games. He seemed to have lost a bit of his usual agression. Still played OK but nowhere near his peak performance IMO. Here's hoping he's back up to snuff this week.

Simple, really. He's a solid corner but his best position is nickel. That puts him close to the ball where his disruptive quickness has max effect. Spread teams afford more chances to play nickle and dime. Tennessee and Alabama? Not so much.

He's ALWAYS physical and aggressive on the field, but the fact is that receivers can create space because of his size. It's okay though. There aren't too many DB's that will make a better impact on a game than ol' HB.
