I haven't heard anyone bring them up in the discussion, seems like they could be a sleeper. They knocked off a 2 loss Georgia Tech team last night, and could still get a decent win over a 3 loss Virgina. That would set up a rematch with Clemson in the ACC Champ game. They win that, we are looking at a 1 loss conference champ who has defeated every opponent they have faced. With OU not playing in a conference championship this year, VT could carry a pretty strong resume come end of the season.

I would absolutely love to humiliate those Hokies (again) in the Superdome. That fanbase is horrendous. They bombarded us with pepper spray in 2002! Like we were rioting! I will never forget nor forgive that offense.

I watched the game last night. VT Definetley looks legit and their qb is better then anything we have in the sec.

I was very impressed with them and it was on the road. This is a much better tech team then we played in 07.

they would get stomp fricked by anyone ahead of them in the BCS rankings. they are running the vintage v-tech playbook. shitty schedule, lose to the best 1 or 2 teams on the sched, win the shittiest conference on earth, then theyll get destroyed in the orange bowl-- a game no one will watch b/c its the same song and dance as the last 7 years

VT Definetley looks legit

their only legit plays were on 3rd and long where the ga tech defense just crapped themselves. retard from ga tech clubbing the qb on 3rd down gave them that win

I think what the OP is saying is that they would've beat Clemson in the rematch ACC CG

A one loss ACC team has no business being in the MNC talk.

Undefeated Boise should go over them.

If OU beats OK State, and Oregon beat Standord, you are looking at an undefeated Boise, and OK State, Bama, Stanford, OU, Oregon, and VT (assuming ACC champ win) all with one loss. Oregon and Bama had their shot, Standford and OK State don't win their conference which won't look good in voter's eyes. Eliminating these 4 we are now comparing VT, OU, and Boise. Whether or not Boise gets in depends on whether or not the voters want them there. If they don't, then comparing VT and OU, that loss to TT isn't going to look very good when looking at VT's loss to a 1-loss Clemson team, which they redeemed themselves in the ACCCG.

All assuming LSU takes care of business of course

They should be one of the last one loss teams to make it in.

VT is exactly who they always are... kansas state in a slightly worse conference.

they are incapable of beating a national title caliber team

besides, UVA is gonna spank that arse

Only decent opponent was Clemson and they got it handed to them in that game.

Think 3-23 or something.
