I really starting to think that they will cancel the game now and most likely the rest of the season.

I highly doubt they cancel the game and the rest of the stadium. What would lead you to believe that?

How can they continue. The program just needs time to regroup. They need to clean house and regroup. IMO, that's what will save the football program in the long run.

I don't think it would be safe in this PC climate to take another team (NU) into the 'lions' den' in this environment. The police are not equipped / trained / nor have the authority to prevent a riot (in Pennsylvania / yes it's political b/c it's a "blue state"). They should cancel the game for the safety of the NU players/fans/coaches, it could get ugly.

What happens if NU blows out PSU ? What are the IDIOT kids who were running in the street pretending to be anarchists going to do ? Playing a football game on 11/12 at PSU is a slap in the face and a problem waiting to happen.

They just canceled the pep rally so that they don't have an organized grouping of people. All those people gathering for what is supposed to be a pep rally could turn into something else. The pep rally just gives them a reason to group together.
