if he had never done another thing after saying "Wanna have a catch?" in Field of Dreams, that was enough. I shed a tear every single time! And I'm not a dad or a son. I can only imagine it's pretty heartwrenching if you are.

Thus, Waterworld and The Postman were more than enough.

We still need Crash Davis.

I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a Constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. Goodnight."

Does this mean we should ask for pics?

By the way, it is my favorite movie scene ever. I can watch the clip just on youtube and it gets me.

Never cared for Field of Dreams...now Bull Durham. That is a classic.

Are you trying to stir up a "best baseball movie" thread? That would be a good way to get it started.

I enjoy Bull Durham better than Field of Dreams as a complete movie, but FoD just has THE line. I also appreciate that I could watch FoD with my dad and grandmother and not be embarrassed. Very good family movie.

I have always been impressed that BD is a sports movie, yet is sexy and romantic, and does both well! BD has a really good female point of view, IMO, without wussing out.

FoD of was just too sickeningly sweet for me. I've never been a fan of that type of movie. I didn't even like it as a kid.

I loathe Kevin Costner ever since he ruined the Endymion ball a few years ago with his country songs

yeah, dont really know if i like him or just a lot of the movies he's in, but i don't like giving him a hard time like most.

at least he didn't turn racist/woman abuser on us like mel... even though i still love mel's movies too.
