Reports out there that there will be a news conference at 2pm announcing Houston Nutt will be done at the end of the season.

Mississippi is loaded with defensive players this year. We have interest in Richie Brown, Channing Ward, and Quay Evans.

No, but it definitely puts us closer to the top of their lists.

Maybe now that CJ realizes he made the biggest mistake of his life just for mama's cooking, he will transfer to LSU!

Transfer rumors are already swirling in regards to CJ Johnson.

As for the MS HS recruits. Bama is leading for Channing Ward, WHO KNOWS with Quay Evans (State has been leading but he is on a Bama high after the game) and Richie Brown is high on State and LSU (Ole Miss was never a contender)

Bundy, I've heard lots if rumblings (or rumors, whichever ever u wanna call it) that Channing Ward really likes LSU, but momma wants him close to home. No truth to any of this? What makes you say he is high on Bama( real question) ?

I still really hope we get Richie Brown. Is there any more room for LBers?

Tuscaloosa is only about 2 hous from Aberdeen, Ward's hometown. The MSU boards and the mods there all are saying that Ward is a HEAVY lean towards Bama and could commit soon. Ward is being told he will come in and not redshirt (one of his big requests during his recruitment)

LSU hasn't been mentioned at all on the MSU boards in regards for Ward, and he already had his official visit to BR for the Florida game, so it will be really hard to make up ground.

His mom does want him close to home, and Ward wants to "Play for championships" so I guess Bama is the closest to make both of them happy.

Dunno. He tweeted something about it. That's all I know.

Did he really think that Nutt was going to turn that team around? Obviously not too bright of a kid

Also, for Channing to consider Bama over LSU is insane, which makes me seem its all on his momma. Following this weekend, he has seen LSU's defense be dominant three times in person (at MSU, LSU vs. Florida, and the Bama game)

Chavis loves rotating his linemen around and if he is good enough, I would be positive he will see time.

It's 2 deep, but he would see time for sure in year 2. Get in moffitt's system and he's got tons of PT after that.

When your coach gets fired, don't you have a chance to have your one year of sitting out waved?

Usually that only happens in college basketball and it's actually when kids sign their LOI out of high school

You have to admit, Ole Miss is a prime example of where one coach lived off another coach's players. Nutt brought in nothing to Ole Miss- and he won his first couple of years with Orgeron's players...the problem for Coach O is that he can recruit, but can't coach...any wonder why Orgeron is STILL just a D Line coach & not a coordinator??
