First possession, efficiently moving down the field, 3rd and inches, we sub in JJ. Why can't we just hand off to our stud RB Ware and get the first down like a normal team? We run a QB sneak in the middle of the field. Then we sub JLee back in a, low and behold, can't get a freaking play off. Have to take a time out. Offense doesnt look right the rest of the night. Remind anyone of 2010? Thank god defense and special teams showed up. I don't blame JLee or JJ. Offensive game plan was crap.

That doesn't make you STOP doing what has brought you this far. Les is a poor QB evaluator. We can't regress back into a year ago where we are bringing cold QB's back into the game every 5 minutes. We totally lost overall Offensive dimension without Lee. WE CAN NOT NEGLECT RANDLE, BECKHAM, etc. Our playmakers need touches.

Their defense was very good no doubt. Our offensive game plan still sucked.

No doubt switching QBs for one play screwed up the offense for the rest of the night.

I think it was great coaching and a testament to the 2qb system. That les recognized Lee was "shook" and put him on the bench and took the game out of the qb's hand. I don't care if LSU only has 10 yards passing as long as they win.

while this sequence was pretty much inexcusable on the coaches part, that in no way messed up the rest of the night.

We didn't have a coherent drive the rest of the night. JJ made some nice scrambles after he decided to run, but you tell me what the hell the offensive game plan was going into that game?

I'm as happy as can and understanding how awesome the Alabama D is it's hard to judge how the players performed. However the run up the middle when on the 2 and the same call when at midfield when driving for the win is mind boggling to me. If ever a play call where the % of success is low it's running up the middle in an obvious running situation against that D.

The flow of the game dictates a game plan. No matter what the game plan was going into the game, if the game doesn't turn out how the coach visualizes then the coach has to improvise. CLM did not predict Lee throwing two int's, but he did plan on using both QB's. As the game went on CLM did a fine job adjusting.

You may be correct! But I thought we just looked so much more conservative on offense than we have the rest of season. I thought our offensive skills guys would make some big plays against their db's.

True about State. Watching Bama replay now. First Int JLee rushed after low snap. Clement was open releasing to flat. Looks like he just rushed the throw and under threw it to Shep.
