We could of brought out the old joke that was used on the Bear in 1982. You know when he ask his wife what time it was and she said 20 to 10. If to young to remember just forget about it!

I'm too young but I'm bad at forgetting.

Could you explain better for my ignorance?

After the LSU-Bama game in 1982 The Bear got arrested for beating his wife. He ask her what time it was before bed and she said 20 to 10.

Bear Bryant beat his wife...he asked her what time it was and she said, "twenty to ten"...that would have made it 9:40

Am I the only one that completely doesn't understand why that's funny?

We beat Bama 20-10 that year. So apparently the joke is that Bear beat his wife after he asked her what time it was...

probably not funny to the young-uns because it's a joke devoid of the f-bomb.

I did not say it was funny...I just told the joke!

By the way...I think DV was a big joke in the early 80's...so maybe that is why it was funny to those back then.

Back then it never happened...so that's what makes it funny!

good ol' fashioned spousal abuse jokes are lost on the young.
