Maze: "I think we're the best team in the country. I think if we played them again we wouldn't lose. We still can go to the national championship. We're still a national championship team. I feel like we're still the best team in the country. Anything can happen."

"I think we definitely have a chance of seeing those guys again if we finish strong," said Bama wide receiver Darius Hanks, who added that the Crimson Tide were "definitely" superior to LSU.

And this from Bama linebacker Nico Johnson: "Oh, no, it's never over."

What do you expect them to say?

"Man, we suck. They are so much better. I wish I had signed at LSU and not Alabama. I'm not playing the rest of the year because I'm despressed."

The only thing you CAN do is pump yourself up for the next game.

Yeah, I saw the Hanks interview. I think Saban has them all brainwashed over there into thinking they are the best team even when they lose. How many times have we heard this kind of talk from Alabama players now?

Most teams give credit where credit is due. Others choose to live in denial.

LSU would beat them, again, IMO. I mean, was there any lack of motivation the first time. If LSU beat them, again, it would be epic for LSU and downright embarrassing for Alabama.

If they were so much better, they'd have scored a touchdown. If LSU's quarterback who played pretty good all year played with an inkling of form from before now, we crush their asses. One of those interceptions was Lee just trying to make a play after a bad snap, it happens.

An old poker phrase comes to mind. The winner laughs and tells jokes and the losers scream shut up and deal.

They could give LSU props like their coach did. They got beat on the field at home and effectively playing for it all. The better team won.

Darius Hanks : 2 catches for 38 yards

Maquis Maze : 6 catches for 61 yards, 1 interception, 1 blown fair catch/punt return that cost his team major yards.

All these guys do is talk.

I'm not sure how the hell an inferior team can win on the road. These guys are a direct reflection of their fans. They think they can't lose and the rest of the SEC should bow down and just be thankful that they allow us to step on the same field. I lived in Bham 4 years, just moved back to BR this month. All their fans make me sick, glad to be home.

We beat them at their house, any rematch with them would be in our backyard. Advantage LSU.

The best team in the nation, and "superior team", should never lay an egg at home in the biggest game of the year. Get over yourselves. You didn't make plays when you needed to and you lost.

I don't begrudge them for saying those things after a close, hard fought game. No big deal. But we won, we were (albeit by a small margin) the better team on the field last night ... time to move on.
