Some say we pulled JL to early and that he had to much time to think? We needed JJ though, there is no doubt, but there are times when we missed JL's touch.

That being said, who starts next game?

Has to be lee. Lee was pulled way to early last night in that game. Lee never had a chance to get a rythem in the game. Yes we did need Jefferson in some situations but the man for us to win a national championship is lee. Lee is still our leader going forward in my opinion even though I think we are going to see Jefferson a lot more now.

PLease God let it be Lee. JJ did ok last night and we could not have won without him but all he brings to the table is running the ball.

I agree. When JJ is in the game, the offense looks an awful lot like it has the last 2 years.

We needed him last night and he came through, but I feel that Lee should still be the starter.

LSU will not see a defense like that again this season (barring a rematch), and we will need Lee's ability to stretch the field again in the future.

We'll have to see what Miles does. If he has been waiting for a chance to pull the rug out from under Lee, now he has his chance.

It doesn't matter.

We need both and will use both.

We're winning with both.

I know it's just a question and that's fine, but does it really matter?

We've seen that Les and co. know what they are doing and this team has great chemistry. I don't see a lot of temper tantrums out there. They are all leading us going forward.

Lee starts, Jefferson plays 15-20 snaps. It works.

We won't play a defense like that again. Both guys move the offense - just in different ways.

We needed Jefferson last night, not so much to move the ball, but to limit turnovers and drain the clock.

People are reading too much into our offensive production against maybe the best defense I've ever seen in college football.

I'll be so glad when this "QB" crap is over next year....Mettenberger will be the man no matter what happens and people won't be bickering back and forth about who should and who shouldn't be in the game....
But, I personally think Miles messed with Lee's mind last night playing JJ so soon and so often...this is going to be the only "thing" that beats us this year.

STFU! Would you rather him throw ANOTHER INT before he gets yanked!

NO ONE can say shiz about the way Miles has handled the QB situation.

"we needed JJ there is no doubt" is being said far too often. Yes he made some plays with his legs, but I am not sure how so many are so apt to forget what Lee has done through the first 8 games.

Miles sure did - and Miles did not do a good job of instilling confidence in his QB. LSU didn't even try to throw on Alabama, and they could have.

Lee should be the QB, but I am afraid to say that Miles might have ruined Lee on this one.

So he didn't have our longest pass last night?

You are correct in saying that the running part is mostly what he brings to the table, but he can also hit some passes. He did it last night, did it last night against Bama and did it last year against them too for that W.

You think saying STFU somehow makes your comment clever or noteworthy? Think again - and go away while doing so.

Have to agree with this. The biggest game of the season is no time to see if your starter can overcome a really bad start. Fortunately for LSU, it has a 2nd QB who was able to perform adequately enough to get the win.

Why QBs are treated differently than every other position in sports is a mystery to me. Starting pitchers get yanked for relievers all the time, but few ever question it. In my mind, the situation last night was no different than that. The coach pulled the starter and the reliever helped win the game.

Lee had a bad game. That's it. End of story. Don't make more of it than that.

I don't think you actually watched the game.

that out of the way, I think Miles will go back to having Lee start and JJ coming in for a few series. Coach Miles is a good coach, he's not going to mess with what's been working.

If it didn't beat us last night, I don't think it's going to beat us. There is no messing with the mind at this point. These are two seniors who have seen it all. They are still here winning games for us. It's been our system and it is actually working. You use whoever seems to be the one to get it done in the moment. Lee will be fine. His accuracy was just off last night and it didn't help that he was playing an unbelievable D. I looked off before he was ever pulled.

I think Lee should still start. We just needed Jefferson in this game. It was just the better match-up against Alabama's defense.
